If you want to celebrate one of Europe’s largest festivals, you definitely have to experience Las Fallas in Valencia. The celebration dates back to the time when carpenters burnt leftover wood on the day of their patron Saint Joseph. Over the centuries, those piles of wood gradually turned into amazing statues, also known as fallas.

 

It is nearly impossible to see all the falla statues, as there are more than 350, but we’ll get there early enough for you to see the most famous ones before they are set on fire during the final celebrations. Don’t forget to bring your camera!
