Madrid’s modern art museum Reina
Sofía is presenting a retrospective of the artist’s life and works, which
brings together over one hundred pieces from different times in his life. This
is the first of its kind to be held in Spain. The exhibition includes some of
the Italian artist’s earliest productions and shows an insight into the
development of his style throughout his career. His work has been described as
strongly poetic and iconic. The works featured will include; a light bulb in a
wooden box that lights up randomly for only 11 seconds each year, and some of
the ‘lavori biro’, works done in ball-point pen in the company of friends and
